Mathematics

The Mergansers are starting Math studies this year with vocabulary acquisition in geometry, as shown with the images above. This can be a way to know specifically what you, as parents, can ask your learner about, both engaging in your child's education and helping to master the knowledge. Soon we will be working on Area, Perimeter, Surface Area, Volume, Circumference, etc.

We have also begun learning about the Coordinate Grid and how to plot Ordered Pairs, by playing a version of Battleship that provides fun practice and a way to peer teach. This will lead into graphing lines, which combines geometry and algebra. I will keep you posted! :0)
